Disadvantages of Conduction Vaporizers |
Conduction vaporizers are cheaply made and while they do work somewhat decently there are still many flaws behind the simple design. The list of disadvantages can get rather long and there are a few reasons why conduction vaporizers aren’t preferred but none of them seem to be major deal breakers.
Disadvantages
Conduction vaporizers are not nearly as efficient as other types of vaporizers. Since the conduction vaporizers solely rely on heat to be from conduction it’s unlikely that the marijuana will all get heated efficiently. This means that some of the compounds that you want to get vaporized won’t end up getting vaporized.
To prevent some of the marijuana not getting fully heated you would have to turn the temperature on the vaporizer up but that could possibly cause the marijuana to get burnt. The idea of using a vaporizer is to do the opposite and avoiding burning the marijuana so you don’t want to force the unwanted.
This type of vaporize is still not nearly perfected. The temperature that the machine is meant to be at may not always be met or maintained. The performance of conduction vaporizers is not ideal. Usually the reliability of the vaporizer will be impossible to determine and this isn’t a major issue. However it does make figuring out how much marijuana you need to get to your wanted high level a little difficult.
Cleaning conduction vaporizers is also a little painful. From too much heat the area where your marijuana stays in regularly ends up with slightly dirty. If you don’t continue to clean the vaporizer every time you use it the result will be debris slowly growing. This isn’t a major issue but can be a bit of a hassle.
