While there are many benefits of using a vaporizer instead of smoking marijuana with a different method you should also look at the differences and similarities between the vapor and smoke. While vapor and smoke may look alike there are still a lot more differences then similarities.
Comparison
Both vapor and smoke can obviously be inhaled and that’s probably the main similarity. The vaporizer will heat the marijuana instead of burning it and it only reaches a temperature that turns the active ingredients into vapor. Since the marijuana doesn’t get burnt there will be no smoke when the marijuana is vaporized.
The appearance of marijuana smoke is comparable to marijuana vapor but there is still a major difference. Vapor will appear to be somewhat transparent and look cloudy so it looks a bit like smoke.
The vapor won’t have any of the harmful contents found in marijuana like tar, benzene, or other carcinogens. This is the main reason why vapor is a lot healthier than smoke. You won’t run into any major health issues if you are just inhaling vapor because it only contains THC and certain other harmless ingredients.
